Established in 1795 by the Mackey family of Scotland, Rafter P Ranches has remained in the same direct family line for nine consecutive generations. What began more than two centuries ago has continued through changing times, generations, and agricultural landscapes, with approximately 1,200 acres of the original land still part of the operation today.

Rafter P Ranches manages more than 300 commercial and registered producing females, with a focus on ChiAngus and Simmental replacement heifers. The operation also specializes in embryo transfer solutions, combining generations of practical ranching knowledge with modern breeding technology and a focus on performance.
